SELF-PACED TRAVEL EXPERIENCE

Our journeys are not just about “seeing.” They are about engaging, joining in, and uncovering the magic of these beautiful countries at your own pace. We want your experience of Spain and Portugal to be both immersive and deeply personal, allowing you to connect with the culture through memorable encounters with locals from all walks of life.

We can arrange luxury in all its forms — five-star accommodations, private drivers, tables at the finest restaurants, and more — but for us, the true luxury of traveling Iberia lies in experiencing magical moments with the people who call these regions home. Moments that inspire, excite, entertain, and are always genuine. That’s why we encourage you staying in authentic places, dining in restaurants off the tourist track, and following routes beyond the beaten path — even if you think you’ve already explored them.

Enjoy the perfection and exclusivity of a private journey. We take care of every detail — from booking flights, selecting wonderful accommodations, designing routes, planning stops, guided tours, workshops, tastings, car rentals, or if you prefer a campervan, train, or ferry. Trust us to craft your dream trip, so your holiday becomes a time of pure enjoyment.
Whether you travel solo, as a couple, family, friends, or colleagues, we tailor our services to meet your needs. These ideas are just starting points to inspire you — but if you have something else in mind, share it with us. We don’t know how to say “no,” and we’re confident we can make it happen.

ROMANTIC ESCAPE

В Sol Dias Travel we want your romantic journey to be unforgettable, so we prepare everything with perfectionism and care. We have many options for you to enjoy according to your preferences: passionate Andalusia, alluring Rioja, romantic Algarve, sensuous Porto, lyrical Basque Country, tempting Catalonia… Shall we continue, or did you get the idea? We inspire our guests’ journeys to create unique moments and experiences — a boat or carriage ride, cycling among olive groves, horseback riding on the beach, soaring in a hot air balloon, diving beneath the waves with gear, picnicking in the vineyards, Andalusian-style spa treatments, sunsets from iconic lighthouses, cooking classes, local product tastings, reservations at cozy restaurants, and stays in elegant historic buildings. For those who entrust us with their precious vacation time, we strive to deliver an exceptional experience. We are committed to our clients’ comfort, turning their holiday into a moment of pure pleasure.

AND, YES, WE ARE ROMANTICS!

UNDER THE ANDALUSIAN SUN

The clash of cultures makes everything in Andalusia – the architecture, the food, the language, and the music – unforgettable. Experience the intense, passionate, and sensual soul of Southern Spain. Immerse yourself in the sun-kissed culture of Andalusia. Get lost in the maze of streets in Ronda, marvel at the Moorish heritage in Córdoba and Granada, feel the passion and soul of flamenco in Seville, meet the Atlantic in Cádiz, and taste exceptional sherry in Jerez. Southern Spain awaits you with visits to Roman ruins, Baroque churches, and 700 years of Moorish legacy. Savor fresh seafood, paella, gazpacho, and all the famous tapas while basking in the sun. Then learn about flamenco and its guitar, master the art of slicing jamón, or discover what makes Spanish olive oil so prized. Cook in a typical Andalusian cortijo among olive groves, admire the Mediterranean from a terrace wrapped in bougainvillea, or simply enjoy lazy afternoons scented with orange blossoms. Relax in a beachfront chiringuito while nibbling on sardines on a skewer, letting the wonders of Andalusia wash over you. Discover Andalusia on a private, tailor-made journey designed especially for you and your family, friends, or colleagues. We offer a selection of authentic accommodations – from hacienda hotels to private homes with pools – all in exclusive locations. Best time to visit – year-round. ANDALUSIA OF THE WHITE VILLAGES

Scattered across the southern part of Andalusia, between the provinces of Cádiz and Málaga, you’ll find a collection of charming small towns – some nestled in the mountains with breathtaking views, others right on the coast. These towns have roots in medieval times. Narrow, winding streets and whitewashed façades still hold the remnants of their Moorish heritage. Known as the “white villages,” these treasures lie hidden in the heart of Andalusia, waiting for the traveler to discover them for an unforgettable experience. We invite you to explore some of these gems, where you can cook paella, make your own cheese, learn the local customs of wine and olive oil production – and naturally, taste them all. Dive into the secrets of sherry-making in some of the most legendary bodegas, master the art of slicing jamón, and under the sounds of an Andalusian guitar, learn how it’s made. You will meet the people of Andalusia and, thanks to them, immerse yourself in the authentic atmosphere of these magical places. Panoramic views of the Mediterranean, hanging pots and cascading bougainvillea, palaces, Moorish castles, exquisite cathedrals, fine white sands on endless beaches, orange trees on elegant squares, stunning cuisine, tempting wines, and stories of Moors, conquistadors, and seafarers – but also tales of farmers, fishermen, and dancers – this is Andalusia of the white villages.
Come, let us show it to you! We offer a selection of authentic accommodations – from hacienda hotels to private homes with pools – all in exclusive locations.

Best time to visit – year-round. Recommended minimum stay for this route is a long weekend, e.g., Thursday to Sunday, but ideally one week. Direct flights Sofia – Málaga – Sofia, organized transfers and/or car rental. This program can also be adapted for camper travel.

OCEAN AFFAIR

The southern part of the Iberian Peninsula is home to a land full of traditions, preserving more than 3,000 years of history. Cádiz, with its unique landscapes and enviable climate, is an iconic place featuring ancient fishing techniques like almadraba, which provides the region with one of its greatest gastronomic treasures: tuna fish. This attractive destination boasts forests and cliffs, crossed by trails, endless beaches where you can enjoy a sun lounger at a “chiringuito” beach bar or ride the waves on a surfboard.

This route invites you to slow down and deeply explore the Costa de la Luz,, the Atlantic coast of Cádiz province, and the mysterious Doñana National Park. From the moment you arrive in Tarifa and see the narrow strip of land separating the Mediterranean Sea from the Atlantic Ocean, you step into another world – of tall dunes, well-preserved Roman ruins, fishing villages, miles of fine sandy beaches, stunning sunsets, countless white villages, the wines of Jerez, the passion of flamenco, and the wild west of Andalusia – El Rocío. A stroll through the fishing quarter of Zahara de los Atunesbrings you the essence of Andalusia, radiating from its whitewashed houses and flower-covered façades. A place where time seems to have stopped. We invite you to climb up to perhaps one of Andalusia’s most magical white villages—Vejer de la Frontera—which offers incomparable views, including the Trafalgar lighthouse and the beaches of Caños de Meca. Just a stone’s throw away awaits the white village of Conil de la Frontera.
In Cádiz, we have prepared a cooking class for you; in the sherry triangle, wine experiences await; and in the fishing villages, you will meet the main characters—tuna and the heroes who catch it by methods practically unchanged for millennia. If you are lucky, alongside flamingos, horses, and deer in Doñana, you may spot the Iberian lynx, and in Jerez de la Frontera, enjoy the art of flamenco. No beach is complete without beach bars, here called “chiringuitos,” which hold a special place—unique spots where you can feel the sand beneath your feet, taste the fresh catch, surrounded by the ocean’s sound, and accompanied by the best views. Seville is also nearby, and if you want to escape the ocean paradise, we will organize it for you.

The best time for this program is from April to October. We recommend a week’s stay, although the program can be shortened or adapted for a long weekend or combined with another itinerary. This program can also be adapted for camper travel. Flights are direct Sofia – Málaga – Sofia, with organized transfers and/or car rental.

ALGARVE JOURNEY

Algarve is pure magic. This Portuguese region hides captivating corners, stunning beaches, mystical natural parks, charming towns and villages, and a delicious culinary scene, offering magical sunsets alongside many other treasures. From Tavira, near the Spanish border, to Cape St. Vincent, its nearly 200-kilometer coastline conceals countless spots to explore. We recommend renting a car, as it’s the best way to travel through Algarve—there are so many beautiful beaches and towns that it would be a shame to miss them. This way, you’ll have complete freedom to move and plan.
The journey can be split into two parts, with the first stay around Faro, and the second near Lagos, to avoid long transfers. Our selection of accommodations includes hotels as well as renovated Provençal-style houses (
quintas) for a more authentic touch. Your adventure begins in Tavira, where you’ll explore the charming old town with visible traces of Roman and Moorish past, and taste the local olive oil while learning about its production. In Olhão, take a boat ride along the Ria Formosa to see the flora and fauna of the sandy islands and learn about the oysters farmed there. Choose one of the picturesque beaches for a rest and lunch break.
In Faro, master the art of preparing a local fisherman’s dish using the freshest seafood, and immerse yourself in the magic of fado with a recital at the local museum. A comfortable catamaran or private yacht will change your perspective, allowing you to admire the jagged coastline and explore secret caves

Benagil and Ponta da Piedade.
We’ll introduce you to our favorite beaches, where you’ll have plenty of time to relax like a true vacationer or stroll along the long coastal promenade. We’ve also prepared several enchanting towns with beautiful beaches, cozy atmospheres, restaurants serving delicious food, instagramable corners, and shops offering local ceramics and cork products. A wooden coastal walkway connects these towns and offers wonderful views, especially at sunset.
Nothing beats ending the day enjoying the sunset from Cape St. Vincent. Long thought to be the end of the world, its sunsets are epic, drawing dozens every day to watch. We’ve planned a day at a picturesque winery where you’ll learn firsthand about the wines of this modern and dynamic wine region, tasting them alongside local products. Our friends organize a lunch under a thousand-year-old olive tree, and we wholeheartedly recommend it.
In the largest orange grove in Europe, you’ll experience the scent of oranges and pick fresh ones yourself—we guarantee they’re nothing like the supermarket variety. At a cork factory, discover this sustainable industry and be amazed at how many things can be made from cork.

This Algarve tour can be significantly customized according to your tastes and what attracts you most. The plan is designed for year-round visits, though we recommend avoiding the busiest summer months of July and August. The program is set for a week but can be extended to two weeks, including a trip to our beloved Alentejo – land of history, wine, cork, ceramics, and beautiful beaches – or you can cross the border into Andalusia, land of Moorish history, flamenco, sherry, and friendly people. The Lisbon region also holds its secrets, and we can share them with you.

Best time to visit – year-round. We recommend a stay of one week, though the program can be extended with neighboring attractive regions. This itinerary can also be adapted for camper travel. Flights are direct Sofia – Lisbon – Sofia or Sofia – Málaga – Sofia with organized transfers and/or car rental.

OUR MOST SINCERE ADVICE IS TO LET YOURSELF GO TO ALGARVE, YOU WILL FALL IN LOVE, AND IT WILL FALL FOR YOU.

ALENTEJO: FROM THE MOUNTAINS TO THE OCEAN

Sea, sky, history, and nature. This is the great treasure of Alentejo. A land of contrasts, full of charming and historic towns, beautiful enclaves surrounded by nature, and 200 kilometers of grand, secluded beaches. Perhaps the name is not so familiar to you, which only adds to its purity and wild character. A favorite territory for those seeking silence, peace, and authenticity.
The accommodations are more than authentic – we have personally checked them for quality and comfort. The best way to explore Alentejo is by car or camper. Towns under UNESCO protection, ancient aqueducts, remarkably preserved defensive forts, even a lake made entirely of marble, Moorish and medieval castles perched on hillsides covered with vineyards – these views of forests of stripped cork oaks alternate with seas of olive groves and rolling almond fields, painting a landscape worthy of Van Gogh.
This region is a true wine country, and we have arranged for a modern winery to open its doors just for you, where you will taste local wines and cheeses. In a classic winery, you’ll not only enjoy tastings but also prepare Alentejo specialties to savor during a sumptuous lunch overlooking a typical white village.
There is also a village famous for its centuries-old woven rugs, and you won’t have trouble finding locals weaving right outside their homes. On a hill above the Alentejo plain rises the royal city of Alto Alentejo—Évora. It is one of the best-preserved medieval cities in Portugal. Walking through Évora is like stepping back into the past and reliving the history and battles fought along the Portuguese-Spanish border.
On the way to the ocean, we’ve included a pottery workshop in one of Portugal’s largest pottery centers, stargazing in the world’s first certified Starlight Destination, and a farm visit where you will taste one of Alentejo’s secrets – “queijo” cheese. We’ve also arranged a meeting with the menu of a Michelin-starred restaurant, as well as a tasting of “

presunto” – the Portuguese name for the product known worldwide as ham or jamón.
We guide you to one of Alentejo’s most beautiful coastal towns, located in the heart of Parque Natural do Sudoeste Alentejano e Costa Vicentina, near a stunning estuary surrounded by sand. Here, a boat awaits to take you along the rocky shore and hidden coves.

Best time to visit – year-round. We recommend a one-week stay, though the program can be extended to two weeks or shortened to be combined with other routes. Flights are direct Sofia – Málaga – Sofia or Sofia – Lisbon – Sofia with organized transfers and/or car rental. This program can also be adapted for camper travel.

GALICIA OF THE LEGENDS

In the far northwest corner of Spain, long known as the journey’s end for pilgrims traveling from all over Europe and once considered the edge of the world, the Celtic land of Galicia has much to offer today’s visitor. Beyond its rich heritage, it boasts kilometers of beautiful coastline and an interior full of little-known wonders.
For food lovers, Galicia brings the greatest delight with its seafood. Nowhere else in Spain will you find such exquisite mussels and shellfish as here. As the region’s capital, Santiago de Compostela enjoys an even better cuisine than other cities. From fresh shrimp, crabs, and lobsters to local specialties like Galician-style octopus (boiled and served with paprika and olive oil), there is something for everyone!
For wine enthusiasts, Galicia offers two contrasting regions producing fantastic wines: on one side, the Atlantic Ocean’s favored Albariño and Godello, and on the other, the heroic Mencía grape in the river canyons of Ribeira Sacra (Galicia’s hidden treasure).
Travelers who love landscapes, art, culinary delights, and winemaking will enjoy an unforgettable journey through Romanesque architecture and the incredible scenery of inland Galicia. They will discover places like Finisterre, fishing villages like Combarro and Ribeira, the Cíes and Ons islands, the stone streets of Pontevedra, the Romanesque architecture and terraced vineyards of Ribeira Sacra, legendary castles near Vigo, and the rugged ocean coast with the famous Beach of the Cathedrals – one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.
Highlights of the trip include cozy authentic accommodations, a variety of activities, tours of iconic spots along the Atlantic coast, lush green hills, Celtic roots visible everywhere, and you as the main character in a journey tailored to your interests and time.

Best time to visit: June – September. Recommended minimum stay: one week, ideally 10 days. Flights via Iberia with a transfer in Madrid. Organized transfers and/or car rental. This program can also be adapted for camper travel.

THE BASQUE COUNTRY FOR THE ADVANCED TRAVELER

The Basque Country is a beautiful place with its dramatic coastline, exquisite food and wine, authentic small towns, and others dedicated to avant-garde culture. The latter come alive in legendary novels and modern films. You will cross parts of Northern Spain and Southwestern France, defined by an exotic language, ancient folklore, and year-round festivals. We recommend 8 to 10 days for this northern adventure to immerse yourself in a world of gastronomy and sensational landscapes, as we show you the best of this delightful part of the country. You will start in Bilbao with a visit to the famous Guggenheim Museum. Then you will head to the culinary paradise of San Sebastián, a city situated along a white sandy bay. Next comes the land of wine. You will visit Rioja to tour some of the region’s most famous wineries, as well as smaller family-run ones. Crossing the border into France, you will enjoy the magnificent beaches of Biarritz, the colorful houses of Bayonne, and get acquainted with her majesty, Bayonne ham.
Entering the Gipuzkoa valley, you will feel the Provencal lifestyle, preserved almost intact, coexisting alongside renovated farms that now house restaurants and cozy Provencal hotels. This is the territory of cheeses, cider, and traditional mills. The pastoral picture of lush green fields surrounded by rocky peaks changes in favor of the rugged and dramatic coastline of Biscay, equally captivating. Besides incredible landscapes and charming fishing villages, you will discover a cuisine focused on grilled dishes and seafood, where the quality of what’s served is always guaranteed. A themed tour “Hemingway’s Pamplona” and a fairytale castle reminiscent of Disney’s silhouette lead us into the inland Navarre part of the Basque Country. Visit the beautiful coastal village of Getaria and taste its famous txakoli wine in a local winery, meet the genius fashion designer Cristóbal Balenciaga in his hometown where he began his creative journey, and learn the story of Juan Sebastián Elcano – the man who returned from the first circumnavigation of the globe, also born in this fishing village. Spend an afternoon at one of the most beautiful sights of the Cantabrian coast, San Juan de Gaztelugatxe, an island connected to the mainland by a bridge. This is a land of contrasts – traditional and avant-garde, coastal and mountainous, Provencal and royal – an eclectic mix that delivers a blend of emotions and transports you to a fairytale to take home as a memory.

Best time to visit: June – September. Recommended minimum stay: one week. For longer stays, it can be combined with Asturias and Cantabria. Flights via Iberia with a transfer in Madrid. One route may include a direct flight to Madrid. Organized transfers and/or car rental.

CATALONIA BEYOND THE BASICS

Catalonia is far more than just Barcelona. It is an incredibly diverse region. While it’s no secret that the Costa Brava is one of Spain’s most stunning coastlines, the interior captivates just as much with quiet cobblestone medieval towns, peaceful provincial landscapes, and places that inspired some of the most influential artists in art history.
Catalonia is an eclectic mix of Gaudí’s playful mosaics, Dalí’s surrealism, avant-garde cuisine and home-cooked meals, a region painted with rolling hills and Provencal houses, a majestic volcanic natural park, a picturesque delta, pristine coastline, vineyards against quirky rocky peaks, and vineyards on steep slopes.
You will discover medieval Girona with its rich Jewish heritage and medieval towns, the wine regions of Priorat, Penedès, and Empordà, the mountain areas of Terra Alta and Montserrat, the ancient Roman heritage of Tarragona, and the bohemian coastal towns of Costa Brava.
The variety in the area allows us to create a trip tailored to your interests, whether it’s cycling, hot air balloon rides over ancient craters, boat trips, culinary tours, tapas routes, cooking classes, winery visits, or exceptional visits to museums and galleries.
Experience Catalonia on an adventure created especially for you. For a long weekend, a week, or two, explore this rich land at your own pace, but organized down to the last detail.

Best time to visit – year-round. We recommend a one-week stay, although the program can be shortened and adapted for a long weekend. Direct flights Sofia – Barcelona – Sofia with organized transfers and/or car rental. This program can also be adapted for camper travel.
